Tokat is a small place do overall living there is honestly pretty safe. I have never experienced bad things while my stay there for three years but the world is pretty messed up so be safe but you dont have to worry about anything while your stay

Security for the center varies from region to region, your chances of being harmed are quite low. I haven't experienced any problems other than disturbing looks (for now and I hope I don't). Still, keep your electroshock device and pepper spray with you.
