Honestly a very touristic place that locals doesn’t hang out that much. It’s is more expensive than usual since it’s a touristic area. A lot of nice restaurants,art shops,galleries and museums. It’s not one of those dangerous /avoid going places but (in case you’re clubbing and such) be careful if you’re out after midnight till morning. Avoid going/passing by tarlabaşı.

How safe is Beyoglu for women?

Beyoğlu is a very old and popular district of Istanbul. There are various museums, galleries, restaurants, clubs, cafes and shops. You can walk around and enjoy the architecture and history. Since it is an attraction for centuries, there are also some problematic neighbourhoods in which crime rate is moderate. So I recommend the travellers avoid entering unknown places.
