Is Uttaradit safe for solo female travelers?

Uttaradit is generally safe for solo female travelers. Like most of Thailand, people are friendly and helpful. However, as is the case anywhere, it's important to exercise general safety precautions. Avoid isolated areas after dark and keep personal belongings close. The main concern travelers might have is the language barrier, but English is fairly understandable in hotels, restaurants and tourist sites.
