Is Caledon safe for solo female travelers?

Caledon is a relatively safe town in South Africa and although crime can occur, as it can in any place globally, it generally has a low crime rate. It is an agricultural area and is less populated which contributes to lesser crowd and hence lower crime rates. The residents are usually friendly and welcoming to visitors. However, it's beneficial to maintain vigilance, especially at night, and take standard precautions such as not flashing valuables and being mindful of your surroundings.
