Saudi Arabia isn’t one of the most popular destinations nowadays, but I don’t regret going there before tourists rush. Riyadh is slightly more expensive than Dubai and its transportation is only improving. However, ppl are rather friendly and helpful, but you should expect that not everyone has a good command of English like in the UAE. I felt so safe and if anything happens you can always ask for police assistance

It was a wonderful experience, you will come back but your soul will remain there Makkah and Madinah were extremely save all the time Also I visited Gadah for shopping Transportation is available and food was good, you will find different restaurants
Posted: July 24, 2025I visited Saudi for religious purposes. Overall, I felt that it was good to see the sites and Masjids. Good food was relatively easy to find and tasted well. however, I was taken aback by the lack of cleanliness and hygiene in public restrooms.
Posted: July 19, 2025Experienced: May, 2023I travelled to Makkah with my family two years ago. We were going to perform Umrah, something special in my religion. However, it was a very safe trip and we had no problems, except for the crowding at the Kaaba, there were people pushing me from behind to move. And the food at the Grand Mosque was the worst thing I ever tasted, any food from elsewhere would be tastier. We rented a hotel to spend a few nights there and went back home.
Posted: May 30, 2025Experienced: April, 2023Lots of things to do if you research what’s on, People are generally nice. It helps to learn some basic Arabic to make it easier to get around as English is not widely spoken. Wearing an abaya is not necessary, any fairly modest clothing is fine. Really expensive, especially for accommodation.

The people here in general are good, always happy to help, It may seem strange to them “men”, but they don't do anything wrong, always just be careful for yourself where ever you were, wish for all happy life 💖
Posted: December 15, 2025Riyadh being the capital is one of the safest places especially for women. Women are highly respected in this country. However in recent times there are notable crimes and theft happening in certain areas of the city and it has d always best to be alert and cautious of your belongings
Posted: December 3, 2025Overall its safe but try to avoid some areas that are filled by the non Saudi workers (no offense at all but the crim rate there is high). Areas like alazizeah, manfuha, almalaz and haraj. If you face any issues feel free to contact local Saudi male and female they will be happy to assist.
Posted: November 2, 2025I live in Riyadh and generally speaking it is very safe and people usually are in the street even midnight, just make sure to wear respectfully clothes and you are good. Riyadh is generally very safe for women even late at night. You do not need to worry about crime or harrassment in public places. You might experience some staring which can be uncomfortable. Tip for safety: Video recording any potential incidents will protect you and deter any perpetrators. (Example: in taxi/Uber) Least safe areas: areas neer Alnadeem and Albat’ha.
