Overall its safe but try to avoid some areas that are filled by the non Saudi workers (no offense at all but the crim rate there is high). Areas like alazizeah, manfuha, almalaz and haraj. If you face any issues feel free to contact local Saudi male and female they will be happy to assist.

I’ve never ever once in my life felt even a tiny teeny bit worried about my safety here even though I go out alone all the time and sometimes even after dark. Just don’t go to sketchy places those basically are “working-sites-building-material-stores” There I’ve experienced harassment but not physical only staring.
