Belgrade is very underrated. Half of my family lives there and I go twice a year. Summer is great but can get quite hot. Winter is nice too but be prepared for kitschy decorations. The public transport is free, the food is great and the night life is fantastic-what more do you want :)
Posted: April 26, 2026A country that demands complete tranquility with its rich culture and calm people. A nation that will not leave you hungry, a nation that is as good as Europe in terms of cuisine. A country to go to :)
Posted: August 18, 2025During my stay at Belgrade I felt safe. I met really kind and interesting people. Serbs love dogs, I saw them everywhere. Public transport is free now, so we drove everywhere. I slept at Different Belgrade camping, about 15 km from the city centre. If you're vegan like me, you can easily find Asian vegan options.

I felt safe walking even at night as a woman. There were many young women who were around my age, on a walk with their friends, pets etc at night and at parks. The cuisine is usually a mix of Ottoman and Italian, not very diverse as a Turkish person. The people were usually kind! My wallet got stolen at Trg Slavija Mc Donald’s tho, I don’t recommend wearing backpacks. The city is small, walkable distance.

Belgrade is a very safe city. No need to worry. You can go where you want. There is no reason to be worried especially girls. Just be smart and stay safe. Hang out with other people and have fun. No worries! :)

It’s a safe place, though as everywhere sometimes we have issues. But from my personal experience women are respected here and I didn’t have any danger coming from men for all the years I’ve lived here

Novi Sad is a very safe city. Lived here for 10 years, walked around during the day and also night, no problem. Especially in the city center, there are usually people around (that is a good thing). City don't really have any specific unsafe areas.
Posted: March 25, 2026Belgrade is popular touristic destination in Europe, known by it's night life and urban culture. It is big and crowded, but absolutely safe. I would mention the most important thing - people are open and communicative (everybody speaks english) and ready to help any time in any situation.

Just a girl sick of her hometown with big dreams of travelling the world with or without company I learned to never wait for anyone cause if I do, all the chances will go right in front of my face With attending Medical High-school I became scared that i would live or should I say work my life in the hospital and never see anything cause i would've been stuck at my shifts Don't get me wrong, thats a nice job, but I just don't see myself doing it and spending 40 years of a wonderful live we should all live working at hospital I like to feel free and have my freedom, that's probably why horses are my fav animals and I think it says a lot about people When I was little, I dreamt of having a ranch with looooots of animals At the moment, I'm saving cash for traveling from my lunch money and I'm thankful for my parents teaching me how to save it when I was younger and I dont even see it as a sacrifice, cause someones gonna eat a pizza slice while soon enough I'll be eating it in Italy Selective buget hahaha Idk what else to tell you, if you have questions feel free to dm me Wishing you a good day ♡♡

Hi, my name is Andrijana, I would be really happy to meet new people and make international friends. If you want, I can be your semi-educated, somewhat awkward, non-local guide around Belgrade and perhaps other places in Serbia if I am able, since I also like travelling across my country. Feel free to hmu at any time, either here or on Instagram 🥰
