Belgrade is very underrated. Half of my family lives there and I go twice a year. Summer is great but can get quite hot. Winter is nice too but be prepared for kitschy decorations. The public transport is free, the food is great and the night life is fantastic-what more do you want :)
Posted: April 26, 2026A country that demands complete tranquility with its rich culture and calm people. A nation that will not leave you hungry, a nation that is as good as Europe in terms of cuisine. A country to go to :)
Posted: August 18, 2025During my stay at Belgrade I felt safe. I met really kind and interesting people. Serbs love dogs, I saw them everywhere. Public transport is free now, so we drove everywhere. I slept at Different Belgrade camping, about 15 km from the city centre. If you're vegan like me, you can easily find Asian vegan options.

I felt safe walking even at night as a woman. There were many young women who were around my age, on a walk with their friends, pets etc at night and at parks. The cuisine is usually a mix of Ottoman and Italian, not very diverse as a Turkish person. The people were usually kind! My wallet got stolen at Trg Slavija Mc Donald’s tho, I don’t recommend wearing backpacks. The city is small, walkable distance.

Novi Sad is a very safe city. Lived here for 10 years, walked around during the day and also night, no problem. Especially in the city center, there are usually people around (that is a good thing). City don't really have any specific unsafe areas.
Posted: March 25, 2026Belgrade is popular touristic destination in Europe, known by it's night life and urban culture. It is big and crowded, but absolutely safe. I would mention the most important thing - people are open and communicative (everybody speaks english) and ready to help any time in any situation.

I would say it's almost perfectly safe. We don't have pickpockets like the rest of the Europe. And I remember going back home alone around 1pm when I was like 14 yo, and I felt safe. I live 40mins walking from the city center, but it's still ok.
Posted: February 10, 2026I didn't like it at all when I was there last year. It was a terrible experience and the heat there in the summer will kill you. You can't go out for a coffee and the transport is very confusing and you can get easily lost, don't go there

Hi, my name is Andrijana, I would be really happy to meet new people and make international friends. If you want, I can be your semi-educated, somewhat awkward, non-local guide around Belgrade and perhaps other places in Serbia if I am able, since I also like travelling across my country. Feel free to hmu at any time, either here or on Instagram 🥰

Hello, my name is Dunja( Quince). I am finishing my studies on fashion design, but on the side I study languages(italian and spanish) and enjoy nature, meeting new people and sharing stories. Or maybe it's better to say, on the side I study fashion design XD. I like making diy stuff, nothing in particular, just handy work. I haven't traveled far, it's usually been Balkans different cities and places, a lot of people. And even when I'm just in Belgrade, somehow I always meet traveling people. Somehow we find eachother, and like so, I have met some wonderful human beings with great souls that I'm still in contact with. I have joined this app to conect with women who travel. I tryed other apps, but didn't feel too safe, here I hope to find the perfect mix of travel and safety.
