Matosinhos is a safe city  Everybody is very friendly and wants to help. However, I would not recommend to walk alone at night in very quiet streets, because if you need help or if you are in trouble, there is nobody to assist you.

Obviously nowadays there’s bad people everywhere so, just be careful in general. But it’s a chill place ✌🏻
