I lived in Iloilo City for 4 years while I was studying in college. I can say that it's still the safest place I've ever lived in. I walked late at night or during the wee hours in the morning; as a woman, there's always fear, but I've never experienced some kind of harrassment or sexual attack -- none that I remember.
