Is Huanchaco Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Loved HCO so much I came back a month later after my first visit and stayed for a whole year. Learnt to surf, speak Spanish and made so many friends, a very welcoming place! Great food and a little market where you can buy most of what you need.
