Tholen is a small place with about 8500 people living in it. It’s small, and the biggest part of all the people is religious (Christian). I personally live with my parents still, but I definitely feel safe walking alone in the dark. There’s a really low crime rate. However, it varies on your personal experience. Some might be more alert and easier shook than me, though I must admit I don’t know anybody who feels unsafe in Tholen.
