Very safe, quaint town. Don’t do anything stupid or mess with people at night and you’ll be fine. Predominately a population filled with students and old people. Not much nightlife, but a lot of fun and other cities are close by train

Lived in the city centre for 4 years, felt very safe always, also when walking alone at 4 am Be careful outside the city centre though, especially Tanthof and rest of the south of delft. Public transport extremely safe
Posted: June 24, 2025A super safe city with mostly older people and students. I usually bike around at night and there's not that many people around in general. It is possible that you would encounter some people who are a bit drunk at night but it's very unusual and they don't really care about you anyway.

Hi! I am Mira, 25 years old, just got out of a longterm relationship and finally giving in to my travelling ambitions. Im a gym girlie so I will definitely try to persuade you if you aren't going to the gym allready. I love to cook healthy food, with a lot of meat and cheese but I can do vegetarian :). I would love to show you around Delft if I have time, during weeks I can also introduce you to Delft student life! I also know fun places to go in the Hague, Rotterdam, Leiden, Amsterdam and pretty much the rest of the Netherlands so don't be afraid to ask!
