Is Amstelveen Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Amstelveen feels very safe and peaceful, including in the evenings & nights. It’s a quiet residential area with good public transport connections to Amsterdam. I generally feel comfortable walking around on my own at any time, and it’s a nice place to stay if you want somewhere calmer than the centre of Amsterdam!

Amstelveen and Amsterdam feel very safe! Even the homeless people are polite, and I have not once felt uncomfortable or threatened while walking home from a party. I am a very anxious person, but here I feel totally okay! At some point I had to walk in a dark alley, but even there it was chill.
