Tijuana can pose considerable safety risks, particularly during the night. As a solo female traveler, it is advised not to walk around alone after dark due to potential hazards including crime and harassment. It is better to stay in well-lit areas and use reliable transportation such as registered taxis or Uber for commuting. Precaution and personal awareness are a must to ensure safety.

Public transportation in Tijuana is reasonably reliable in terms of getting you where you need to go. The buses and taxis are the most commonly used forms of public transportation. Tijuana is known to not be the safest city, it does have some really fun places, mostly party culture, but its always better to explore with somebody from the city to avoid any dangers and its a little bit on the expensive side from México overall
