Is Tequila safe for solo female travelers?

Tequila is generally considered safe for solo female travelers. Like any other destination, there are some precautions to take. Always pay attention to your surroundings, avoid walking alone at night or in less crowded areas, and ensure your accommodation is safe. Petty crime like pickpocketing can occur but is generally low. The locals are friendly and most are welcoming towards tourists. However, always remember that your personal safety can depend on your choices and behaviors. Keep your personal belongings secure and stay in populated areas especially at night.

Hello I went to Tequila on March 2024 with an all women group called “Morritas viajeras” it was my first experience in Tequila hence I was a little bit nervous because Mexican roads can be really dangerous. However they were always taking care of us. When we arrived at Tequila’s downtown I ate at a local restaurant (sadly I don’t remember the name :( ) next to the cathedral and actually it was really good, I recommend it. We took the barrel tour to know about the tequilas factory and to the agave camp. It was really good, I had so much fun and tequila shots. I would really recommend goin to tequila on a day trip. However as always, when there’s alcohol involved we should be always careful about what we drink, be with someone we trust and have an emergency number on dial. We went to Cantaritos el güero, and it was cool but too many drunk people so if it’s not your kind of place I would not recommend it. So have fun, ladies and be careful :) If you need any help or another recommendation you can tell me
