From my experience and what I hear from others in my city, the level of safety varies depending on the area and time of day. During the day, it’s moderately safe overall. For example, the historic city center is ideal for tourism and generally safe during daylight hours, but it becomes quite unsafe at night. Similarly, the newer urban developments are safe during the day but can also feel risky after dark.
Posted: December 28, 2024It’s safe at day and it all depends on the zone. Don’t walk alone at night and go to our hotels/places/hostels not alone past 10:30 pm. I feel safe but if people see you very touristy you would catch eyes. I go to college in Cholula and feel pretty safe at night during semester. Alway a lot of movement over there but only in the street in front of Uni (14 oriente)
