Is Comala safe for solo female travelers?

Comala is a relatively safe town, home to friendly locals and is often considered safe for tourism. However, like any destination, basic safety precautions such as staying vigilant, avoiding less crowded places at night, not flashing expensive items, and using registered and reliable transportation should be exercised due to occasional reports of petty crimes. But generally, Comala has a lower crime rate in comparison to bigger cities in Mexico.
