Is Ajijic Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Ajijic is generally a safe location for solo female travelers. The town has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a large expat community. However, as in any location, it's important to remain vigilant, especially during the night. The crime rate is relatively low compared to other areas in Mexico but occasional petty crimes like purse snatching or pickpocketing can occur.
