It's the second biggest cities in Japan and one third of people work in Tokyo but decide to live in Yokohama. I would say it's more living place although there are still small area where look like ​red-light district and I do not really go by myself

I feel very safe going out alone and spending time alone in the city even after dark. No men or strangers ever approach me and people are happy to help if needed. I have only had good experience so far while living here
