At night not safe. During the day station and the street around that area is not safe. For women expecially. The centre is moderate but not at night and not alone. Stay safe everyoneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

As in any city, there are areas where you need to be more vigilant, and the area around the central train station is one of them. It's best not to be alone at night. Using taxis is advisable during peak hours. During the day, there is a focus on preventing pickpocketing; personally, I only experienced it when I was a young girl, and it was another child who did it.

Reggio Emilia Is a fairly safe city and i have never had serious accidents. There are a couple areas where more caution is recommended because of reported mugging episodes and baby gang problems, but they are in the outskirts of the city or the area of the train station, and the municipal administration is working on them

Reggio Emilia is a generally safe place. There are some particular parts of the city that do not have a good reputation but are always checked and they're not parts where you happen to be. As for the rest it's very bright (maybe too much) and it's very difficult to see something frightening or violent, in my experience living here the only time where I was actually scared was for a car accident.

About me

Hi, my name is Giorgia. I live in Reggio Emilia, in a spacious apartment where I live alone. I have an extra room and I’m happy to host fellow female travelers for free. I’m a cheerful and energetic person, always on the go, with a big smile and a strong passion for sports and an active lifestyle. I love positive vibes and meaningful connections. Reggio Emilia is a safe and authentic Italian city, and from here it’s very easy to reach Bologna, Milan, Verona, Trento, and Lake Garda, as well as many other beautiful places in Italy. I’d love to connect, share experiences, and help you discover this part of the country.
