Public transportation:Safe
Karimunjawa generally offers a reliable public transportation system. While the island isn’t equipped with official buses or taxis, there is a fleet of motorized becaks (similar to tuk-tuks) available. Most drivers are respectful and polite, and the incidences of crime are relatively low. The passengers, which include solo female travelers, rarely report any issues. However, it's advisable to be cautious at all times and avoid traveling late at night if possible. Also, make sure to negotiate the fares before getting on to avoid any misunderstandings later.
