Is Canggu safe for solo female travelers?

Canggu in Indonesia is generally safe for solo female travelers. The locals are friendly and most of them speak English which makes communication easier. Nightlife is active but not overly wild, and the area is mostly populated by expatriates and other tourists, reducing risks associated with unwanted attention or harassment. Like any other place, it's important to take usual precautions such as not getting too drunk, not accepting drinks from strangers, and not walking alone late at night in deserted areas or beaches. Instances of petty crime like pickpocketing or bag snatching do occur so one must always be attentive to their belongings especially in crowded places.
