Is Municipality of Athens safe for solo female travelers?

We had a great time in Athens, the history is great however in some areas we dis not feel super safe (nothing happed though). It was great to stay a couple of days but happy we didn’t stay too long either

There are a lot of placea is my town that it is dangerous for everyone to be there with no reason. There are people that may be thieves or drug dealers. In the center is more safe but like everywhere you have to be carefoul with your personal belongings wherever its crowded.
