Cops are all over the city until morning. I live 5 min from the centre by car and i walk alone and im not afraid. The city is all over students, it basically lives from its students so everyone here is friendly

Ioannina, Greece is a town with many students and really friendly people. The night life here is pretty great any day of the week especially on Saturday the roads are filled with people. I don’t mind going out alone or walking back home alone especially in the centre of the city. Of course you have to be careful and always there is a possibility of being assaulted but all you have to do is call for help and pretty much anyone will be there. I believe it’s one of the safest “big” cities of Greece.
