Santo Domingo is a big City so as long as you remain in the safest area, you will be ok. For Example, walking in the main streets of Zona Colonial shouldn’t be a problem for a woman traveling alone at night or during the day in the metropolitan area or Malecón. Just watch out for mugglers and motobikers.
