Is Varna safe for solo female travelers?

Varna is generally safe and welcoming for solo female travelers. Use the same precautions you would in any unfamiliar city - be aware of your surroundings, especially at night, and keep valuables secure. Bulgarian people are usually friendly and helpful. However, like anywhere else, it's worth being mindful of districts described as unsafe or experiencing a higher-than-average rate of crime.

How safe is Varna for female travelers?

Solo travel

Overall, I felt safe but I knew I had to be vety cautious walking around. The people were nice however if you dont know Bulgarian or Russian they tend to be very rude. My bag got stolen with everything in it, there are professional thiefs there. Everything was cheap compared to anywhere in Europe, the food amazing, the alcohol somewhat good, the pubs and bars were amazing tho. There is public transportation and the beaches were very nice.

I would say its pretty safe, especially public transport. Night life is safe too, at least in my experience and what I've heard. The only thing that I'm worried about is locals reaction to gay or alt looking people. There were multiple accidents when teenage boys have beaten somebody just because of their looks (but the targets are usually teenagers too).

Overall I would say Varna is pretty safe , I haven't lived here for a lot of years but so far I haven't had any safety problems Small theft still remains an issue although I have never experienced it personally

Quite safe, not much to worry about except the birds that might steal your food. There are certain parts of the city that are full of robbers but it's usually far away from the center of the city. Might notice drunk and homeless people around at the center.

It's a very safe city to live and visit compared to other cities in Europe. You feel safe walking around. People are nice and ready to help when they can. There are many places to visit that are beautiful and can be seen during the day, but also at night when the vibe hits differently.

During the day is safe, here are some small streets that could be considered suspicious, but I personally haven’t experienced anything. At the shopping centers and malls you should be careful, especially when there’s big crowds-sometimes there’s thieves but rarely. At night is a bit scary because here’s often to see drunk people or people under the influence of drugs ,especially when the weather is warm.Sometimes here’s a big groups of boys or young people but often they’re harmless.
