How safe is Stara Zagora?

Safety at night:

Safety at night:Safe

Stara Zagora is generally quite safe, even during the night. Locals are friendly and crimes against tourists are rare. However, like for anywhere you travel, it's always advisable to remain vigilant, especially in less crowded or dark areas during late hours at night. Be aware of your surroundings, stick to populated areas and avoid showing significant amounts of money or valuable objects in public. Public transportation is safe, but make sure to have a reliable taxi service number as some taxi drivers may overcharge tourists.
Public transportation:

Public transportation:Safe

Public transportation in Stara Zagora is generally considered safe with a well-organized network of buses connecting various parts of the city. The carriage during peak hours might become crowded, which can lead to the occasional pick-pocket incidents, but those are relatively rare. Digital signs in English make it easy for tourists to navigate. However, it is still important to stay alert and cautious at all times. The larger concerns can be occasional lack of punctuality and unexpected route changes.
Street harassment:

Street harassment:Low

Stara Zagora, generally provides a very respectful environment for solo female travelers. While occasional unsolicited attention may occur, it isn't widespread or aggressive. Most locals are helpful and friendly. Nonetheless, it's still recommended to exercise basic caution, especially during late hours or in isolated areas.
Petty crimes:

Petty crimes:Low

Stara Zagora generally enjoys a relatively low level of petty crime such as pickpocketing and bag-snatching compared to other European cities. However, it's advisable to remain vigilant, especially in crowded places, and keep your belongings close to you at all times. As a result of the community's consistent efforts, the city's infrastructure and safety procedures, the risk of encountering petty crime is moderated but not completely absent.

Is Stara Zagora worth visiting?

Is Stara Zagora safe for women?

Stara Zagora is generally safe for everyone, especially women and girls. I've read somewhere that this is one of the safest cities in Bulgaria (though I could be wrong). Public transport is very safe and I've ridden the bus alone since 6th grade to school. Unfortunately they're sometimes big groups of boys between 14 and 20 years old that have their hoods on even if it's 30°C outside and sometimes when they see kids walking alone their age, they come up to them and start harassing them. I think it's just a trend because I see less and less of these people, but I suggest paying attention to big companies of boys all in black, predominantly dressed in Nike branded clothing, roaming around the city centre. Aside from that, I feel very safe in the city, especially where I live

Town is not very big , and the population it family’s and grandparents. There is not night live, except 2,3 clubs. Young people hang out whit the car in the winter, they stay in the cars in on parking.
