I went here with my sisters and a bunch of other people. We stayed at a local's home and it was just an amazing experience. They're so welcoming and even though we spoke different languages we were able to communicate. The sights were incredible from the favelas, and transportation was efficient, sometimes too efficient, I remember one driver gassing it down hill and I thought that was gonna be my last day on earth 🤣 but we survived.

Niteroi is a town across the bridge from Rio de Janeiro. Much safer and with a great view from the city of Rio de Janeiro, but also much smaller and with less city life and less options, but still a nice place to stay.
