Manaus is moderately safe for solo female travelers. The city has been a popular tourist destination and thus, security has increased, especially in areas frequented by tourists. However, like any other urban area, it is not devoid of petty crimes like bag snatching or pickpocketing. It's recommended to stay vigilant, especially while using public transportation or visiting crowded places. It is also advisable to avoid certain areas after dark.

Manaus, as a major city in Brazil, has fluctuating levels of street harassments. Solo travel

Manaus is the industrial capital of Brazil, bustling with numerous companies scattered everywhere. Overall, it was okay; however, the city is quite chaotic, dirty, and noisy. Distances are vast. Aside from the blue and green lagoon, I wouldn’t recommend staying in this city for an extended period.
