Barão Geraldo is a university neighbourhood isolated from the rest of Campinas.During the day is safe to walk alone .But ,when it gets dark it becomes really dangerous,making it hard to walk alone to the University Restaurant.There has been many assaults and smugling during late hours at night.

I find Campinas safe in general, despite having more peripheral and vulnerable regions. I think public transportation is safe and organized. Walking around is also safe. I don't think it's the most sexist city compared to other places in Brazil, however it is indeed conservative and prejudiced.
