Is Acre safe for solo female travelers?

Acre is relatively safe for solo female travelers. It's a less touristy destination of Brazil, hence crime rates targeting tourists are lower. However, as in any foreign place, it's necessary to take common safety precautions. Be aware of your surroundings, avoid ostentatious displays of wealth, and don't wander out alone at night, particularly in unfamiliar areas.
