Honestly, don’t go out alone at night, especially around the train station or in poorly lit areas. It’s basic common sense, of course. I don’t recommend going to these places after dark: • Rue Rogier • Rue Godefroid • Square Léopold • The Meuse riverside area in Jambes Namur is generally safe; you just need to avoid these streets late at night. Personally, I haven’t had any problems there so far.

There are some streets I avoid in Namur, especially at night, like rue Rogier, behind the station (boulevard Nord), Rue Godefroid... But generally speaking, Namur is safe. There are lots of things to do and see in Namur.

Namur is overally pretty safe, if you know which places to avoid of course. These last years petty crimes have been on the rise bit not enough to pose a real threat in my opinion. My friends and I have been living here our whole lives and never had something serious happen to us. And if you feel unsafe walking alone at night, there are scooters everywhere and you can take one to go back to your accomodation quickly and easily! But there’s really nothing to worry about if you stay aware of your surroundings.

Hi! I’m Anisa, 19 years old, and a student. I love traveling and creating new memories and adventures. I’m talkative once I feel comfortable. My goal for 2026 is to travel as much as possible before I turn 20. Hopefully, I’ll find more buddies for my next adventures!
