Haiphong, the third largest city in Vietnam, is a bustling port city located in the northeastern part of the country. Haiphong is super safe and ypu bump into police pretty often. Kids are roaming around without adults so that should set most people's mind at ease. 

It's a smaller city north and quite easy access to the Hanoi (capital city)
 You can take coach, private transfer, or trains and ypu can reach it within 2 hours.
