Rhode Island is beautiful place to visit. 
It’s best to visit around summer but not too late into it- 
We went around may memorial day. The place wasn’t too crowded. We spent 2 days in Newport and 1 day in Providence. 
Newport has more access to activities and nature

- spend time at the beach
- hike the cliff walk
- do the mansions tour
- visit wineries 
- go for a sailing tour

- visit art museum
