I have been to Colorado twice now with my family. The first time we drove there from NC (3 days to get there on car). We explored Colorado Springs and the hikes around the area like Garden of the Gods. The next time we went we took a plane and explored more of Denver, hiking the Rocky Mountains National Park. I felt incredibly safe as there were so many other travelers with us when we went out exploring. We had our own car (and rented a car for the 2nd trip) to get around which made everything much easier and saved time. We stayed in Loveland on our second trip at a little house and saved...
