Located in the high deserts of central Oregon, Bend is a lively, outdoor-oriented city famed for its remarkable landscapes and recreational opportunities. Encircled by the snowy peaks of the Cascade Mountains, it is best known for the Deschutes River that cuts through the city, giving life to a plethora of adventure sports such as whitewater rafting, fishing, and paddle boarding. Among many attractions, there are scenic trails for hiking and skiing, lava fields, and underground caves within the nearby Newberry National Volcanic Monument. What's more, Bend proudly boasts a lively arts scene, farm-to-table restaurants, and the renowned Deschutes Brewery, making it a popular destination for beer lovers. The city's unique blend of nature, adventure, and culture make Bend an exceptional U.S. travel destination.

Bend

Well, I visited Bend for a WCS dance convention and I stayed at The shilo inn on the Deschutes River. It had a beautiful riverfront view and a fireplace in the room. The rooms are somewhat small but I was traveling on a budget. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. I only got to stay one night so I don't have a lot more to say but I hope to visit again soon!
