About me

Hi Im a middle school language teacher from Switzerland and probably the kind of person who gets excited by learning how to say “thank you” in every country I visit. 😄 Languages are a huge part of my life both at work and outside of it. I love meeting people from different backgrounds, discovering new cultures, sharing stories, and learning from locals! I’m also a huge foodie! One of my favorite ways to discover a country is through its food. Street food, family recipes, local markets… I’m always curious and ready to try something new (well… almost anything 😅). I also enjoy cooking and exchanging recipes from around the world. Personality-wise, I’m an ambivert. I genuinely enjoy meeting people, chatting for hours, and sharing experiences. But after a full day of adventures, I also appreciate having a quiet moment to recharge my batteries. I’m a little shy at first, but that usually disappears quickly when I’m around kind, open-minded people. At home, I’m very tidy, respectful, and discreet. I always take care of the spaces I’m staying in and try to leave them exactly as I found them (and expect the same thing ☺️). To make it short I’m a smiling, sociable, and adventurous person who loves connecting with others… but I also have a little introverted side and enjoy my quiet moments from time to time. I live with my family of four in a comfortable apartment with a garden. We’re very well connected by public transport, and the city center is only a 10-minute ride away. I’m a mother of two boys, and we enjoy welcoming people into our home. I’d be happy to host someone and share our daily life, culture, and home with them (Only On the weekend if there is more than a person) Please note that I’m away during the month of July, the second half of August, the first two weeks of September and winter holiday in decembrer. Outside of those dates, I’d be delighted to welcome you!
