Hey Girls Because I love mountains I moved to Switzerland. Every free sunny minute I spend paragliding, hiking, skitouring, climbing or swimming in the lake. As a doctor I have to work a lot but take time off regularly to travel the world and enjoy life. This summer I‘m going to Alaska for paragliding and hiking/backpacking and am already looking forward to this adventure. I am happy to welcome you in Lucerne and share local’s knowledge, especially about the mountains around ;) Looking forward to meeting you, Cheers, Julia

I had a brief but memorable stop in Lucerne for about 3-4 hours during my trip. I spent most of the time walking around the city, enjoying the beautiful scenery. We had a snack by the river (highly recommend it, though it’s a bit pricey—well, that’s Switzerland for you). I also tried some ice cream, and I still remember how one scoop cost 4 euros! For me, that’s a huge difference, since in Ukraine, 4 euros could buy you 4-6 scoops. However, the scoop was as big as my fist, and it was delicious! We also took a stroll to the famous flower-covered bridge, listened to some musicians, and then headed to another city. Lucerne left a stronger impression on me than Zurich. The people were friendly, even the tourists (unlike in Zurich, where I didn’t feel as comfortable with the younger crowd).
Posted: January 3, 2025I visited Lucerne and it was beautiful, I highly recommend it. I also went up the Pilatus mountain for a half-day trip from Lucerne and it was equally beautiful there (you can go up the mountain by cable car or train).
