Uriell
Brussels
Hi guys !😊 I am a Belgian solo traveller staying for 4 months in Australia to visit the East Coast. If you are available, I would love meet up to exchange travel stories and learn from one another. If we happen to be at the same place at the same time I would also love to meet a travelbuddy to visit National Parks like Daintree, Great Sandy, Whitsunday Islands or other fun suggestions. I would also love to find a host if possible and get to know what life is like as a local. Basically, I want to meet sisters from all over the world during my trip. I'm pretty outdoorsy, I love sightseeing and hiking. I am also passionnate about food and cooking. I would love to cook and share some of my favorite recipes with my host to show my gratitude.

Anna-Paulina
Brussels
Hi my name is Anna-Paulina. I am a Belgian citizen with Russian roots. I started working at a big girl job about a year ago after finishing my masters in Sinology in Ghent University. Currently just working on some personal projects and exploring Brussels in all its colors. I am a very creatively inclined person with a lot of personal projects and ideas going on. My friends love to get involved, and I love to get them on the ride. Will be very happy to meet you and explore your city with you x
Brussels is quite safe for women solo travellers, best stay in southern districts (Ixelles, St Gilles, Uccle, most of the Center and Forest ) and avoid the areas outside of the train stations Brussels Midi and Brussels North. I have been living here for over 15 years, often moving around solo. After 23h some areas and public transport can get quite sketchy / unpleasant, but not really dangerous.
Posted: November 8, 2025In general the city centre (Brussels-central) is quit safe. Outside are beggars but they aren't harmful. Whenever I go out with friends I usually have to take the train back home around 22:00 and it's never been an issue. (I've studied and worked here). Another safe neighbourhood is Ixelles-Etterbeek with nice food spots and café's (a neighbourhood for students/families). I would avoid taking the tram outside at Brussels-midi station and also avoid Rue Brabant at Brussels-North. Keep an eye on your belongings and also if you're gut feeling says this person isn't good trust it and stay away! (Unfortunately bad people are everywhere).
