About me

Hi everyone! I'm Trang, a 24-year-old solo female backpacker from Vietnam. My major is Marketing Manager in the Inbound tourism industry in Vietnam and Travel Content Creator. I’m also a Travel Specialist and Consultant for those who travel to my country. I love immersing myself in nature and local cultures wherever I go. I deeply value every moment connecting with locals and participating in their traditions. A bit more about me: I’ve spent nearly a year living among minority communities along the Vietnam-China border, volunteering and helping out the locals there . At 22, I fulfilled my dream of backpacking across Vietnam by motorbike. Now, I'm ready to explore the world and express all i can do to help people to travel in smart and efficient way, also to motivate young Asian girls like me can break the comfort zone & discover many amazing things in life out there! Growing up in just a developing country with a history of war, and being the daughter of army parents, my life has been tough and lack of many conditions. The dream of traveling around the world never was in my mind as i though it was impossible for me to do that! But thanks for my parents to teach me how to overcome hardships, and I’ve become a strong, independent and proactive woman. Despite challenges, I chase my dreams with all my heart. Which is the best thing that im proud of and let me be a person that i am now! Traveling is definitely my passion, my life-lesson teacher and my opportunity for my self-developement, discovering my talents, my potential abilities that i can’t find if im just always stucked in the comfort zone! My passion for travel often clashes with my family's wish for a stable life close to home. They totally dont support my backpacking journey, they always think im so stubborn and not a good daughter if i dont follow what they want me to do, which makes me frustrated and worried so much! As the "black sheep" of the family, I’ve chosen to step out of my comfort zone to follow my dreams and i never regret that desicion! Though my family might not always understand, I’ve gained rich experiences and contributed to communities I've visited. I may not be rich in money and material stuffs, but I’m wealthy in experiences, courage and a lively heart to be adventurous and wild. All of the above wasn't written by ChatGPT; these are all heartfelt thoughts from the bottom of my heart, and I would be very grateful if you could understand and be willing to help me on my upcoming journey. Currently, I’ve decided to leave my job to explore the world, starting with Indonesia in late June 2024, then Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines for next few months. I’ve been struggling a lot to have this decision and i really hope this bold step will give me more chance and direction to figure out the way to travel for long term, bring the true value, tips & advice for people to travel smartly, gain useful information, be a better and responsible human being, or at least will bring positive thoughts and motivations for everyone! Im so appeciate if you can follow & support my upcoming journey on Instagram and TikTok at Trang_wander. Please don’t hesitate to connect me! I love to have quality time and deep conversations to people during my trips! Let us grow and motivate to do more good things in life! Im sure i have many meaningful stories and lessons to share with you guys!

I feel Da Nang is an extremely safe city. Very similar to the cities in Thailand. People are very friendly. When I walk on my own during the night nobody is cat calling me. Also the Buddhism culture makes ppl here very calm
