Hi there! I’m a friendly and open-minded person from Vietnam. I really enjoy cultural exchange and I’d love to support female travelers who come to stay. I used to be a freelance tour guide, so I know many hidden spots and interesting local places to share. I’ve also traveled solo myself, so I understand the joy and challenges of it. Nowadays I mostly teach, which can be a bit boring at times, so I’m always happy to meet new friends, share stories, and learn from each other. 🌸

I’m exciting to share you my lovely city & country. I do hope to meet you in the near future at your countries soon. Warm regards, Ann.
Ho chi minh is the safe place for girls, specially for solo female travelers. Vietnam is 1 of the safest countries in the world for solo travelers, especially women. We have a lot of options for playing, sightseeing and shopping, etc... So don't worry, feel free to come and enjoy.

I’ve lived in HCMC my whole life and honestly it feels like one of the safest places in the world. The traffic in Vietnam is notoriously chaotic but can got used to after a few times of careful navigation. The harassment scene is not terrible, men/ older natives would stare, sometimes with an inappropriate/ judgmental look (especially if we show skin or if you’re a foreigner, not our faults!) but they don’t actively act on it. Catcalling is rare for me also. I was never mugged/ robbed in daylight, even in super crowded places or on public transports, still, always lock the doors at your accommodation and keep valuables close to be safe. Generally, people are kind, friendly, and easy to ask for directions or any other kind of questions as they often try their best to help even if they can’t fluently speak English. Being a young woman myself, I have utter faith in young people here and very comfortable around them, even strangers.
