About me

Hey my names Jojo! I am 28 gal living in Glasgow, I’m freelance in the TV industry as an Assistant Producer. I have actually met some of my best friends on the likes of bumble bff etc and this year I am doing my first bit of solo travel, ahhh!! I’m off to New York 17th-25th and hoping to meet some likeminded people there to explore the city! 🏙️🍎 I’m open to all kinds of stuff, touristy spots, brunch, coffee, walks, cocktails you name it. My ideal situ would be to have a few of us have a night of drinks as I’m a little more concerned about doing that on my own 🤭 Looking forward to maybe meeting some of you! 😊

Is Glasgow safe for women?

I was born in Glasgow and have lived here my whole life. I have always felt safe and still do. The Southside of Glasgow and the West End are a beautiful blend of diverse cultures, and artists who call it home. However, I would air some caution as in recent months anti immigration sentiments have spilt over. This may affect anyone who "looks different" Even though I would not say this is happening regularly, I do want to mention it as the political landscape across the UK is normalising far-right views, which has permitted a small minority to be xenophobic. For the most part, Glasgow is the friendliest city and people here love to chat. You will find people happy and willing to assist a stranger. Knowing the full picture makes it easy for travellers to plan. Glasgow truly is beautiful.

I am a single girl in her 20s and I have felt safe 90% of the time. Of course that 10% is when you’re in rougher areas or it’s late at night. But for the most part I feel incredibly safe. Of course there is crime like any city but you just have to be careful
