Is Amsterdam safe for women?

I would walk round at 3am alone as a female and feel perfectly safe. In the day its even more safe but people do say to keep wary of pickpockets in crowd by the centre, however i havent experienced anything bad there either fortunately

I’ve been living in Amsterdam for three months now and I can say it is pretty safe, I have never felt in danger especially in the city center, it’s always alive. Biking or walking late at night outside the center might be a little scary because the streets are empty but not unsafe necessarily.
