Very quiet at night as most tourists leave, however the large population of contract and port workers who are largely male and transitory consists of waves of anonymous working age men that have no plans to remain longterm, which can feel unsafe, like with any port city

venice is a very safe place, just be aware from pickpockets but over all itโs a nice place to stay to enjoy the Venice architecture and the bacaro tours( itโs a tipical Venetian thing to do, get to one bar to another and get drunk)

Venice is in pretty safe. Of course, at night, u have to pay attention wherever you wanna go. As the other city. In particular, in the small "calle" check every time you enter the street before go and it s better if u are with someone at night, 2 people is better than just one.
Posted: July 18, 2025iโm very scared to walk after the all movies that i watched. but also there are some teenagers can be angry or drunk, so especially at night have to be careful abt that. water and bridges sometimes gives a scary vibe
