I am Sarah (she/her) a 24 year old living in Salzburg. There I study Communication, Culture and Participation with a focus on Diversity, Gender and Equity. I am passionate about learning & spreading knowledge about gender equality. I work in a Salzburg-based initiative that empowers women from diverse backgrounds through intercultural dialogue, workshops, and community events. I also love dance, music, crocheting, horses and photography - currently I am building my portfolio as a concert photographer. Most often I find myself travelling to new placee because of an event that is taking place there, like concerts, festivals or exhibitions - and I love love meeting new people on the way! I would much rather spend an afternoon exploring exciting topics of conversation over a nice cup of coffee with a new friend, than visiting the sights; hopefully building a lifelong friendship as we go! Upon meeting me I am usually a rather quiet person who listens and asks a lot. I value open communication, respecting boundaries and active listening. Is Salzburg safe for women?

It’s pretty safe. I haven’t heard any complaints from anyone. Everytime I walk with my open bag, leave my stuff and go to the bathroom at the Cafe, sometimes sleep when tired in public transport and have had no accidents yet
Posted: August 8, 2025Salzburg is such a charming and magical Place to be! With its beautiful old Town and landmarks, especially the Lakes around - my study Town is just stunning 🌼 Also when I Go out the Night, After working late or coming Home from an caraoke evening in One of the Many Irish pubs I feel so Safe - but I can only rate the Situation in the old Town because of my flat being part of it! From 9/10pm on in the evening there is noone anymore in the streets, it is Not very noisy or crowded a part from the rudolfskai where all of the Night Life happens! I Walk often alone when I Come Home Late, cause I dont worry about anything ! There is just One quarter of the City that I Heart to be more busy by Night: it is Lehen! But it is away from the Oldtown, so i cannot validate the Information ! All in all - you‘ll feel very Safe in our Beautiful Little Salzburg! 🌟
