i did meet some creepy men but they didn’t harass me. i feel pretty safe when walking around the city, but this is only my experience. i would say lviv is safe to travel here. many stores are tourist-oriented :)
Posted: February 17, 2025The city is overall very safe, not counting ruzzian attacks but if you go to shelter every air alarm, you will be very safe, basements are accessible almost everywhere because of war. Generally speaking, the city is safe, russia is the only problem for us now
Posted: February 9, 2025overall city is ok for people who live here, but considering i am a girl of course it would be kinda dangerous for me to walk alone in the dark. it is better to walk in the areas which are lighted and crowded

Lviv is quite safe, nonetheless it’s quite big city in Ukraine it’s very cute in different senses ;) people are very hospitable and kind, mostly they are also open to any communication and could help you
Posted: December 30, 2024I think it is safe city for travelling. I had a few incidents here but nothing critical. However, one has to keep in my mind, there is still war in Ukraine, so be ready for rocket attacks and alarms and shelters as well) also due to the war, around the city and the country are electricity shortages so often in the evening/night there is no light outside so it is pretty scary for women to get back home in the dark. Hope it helps

Lviv is a safe place in general. Main problem is war and the potential danger of being killed by a missile or a drone, although in Lviv is relatively safe. As for the people and general safety on the streets, it's a good place
Posted: December 26, 2024Well, we a war going on in a coutry in general, but still being its my hometown I do not feel much woried about safety more then in any country abroad i have been. And to say about some rubbers or harassment, here its not usual case to feel, of course it is, from some people, but won’t be saying that i am under some danger or so in my everyday life
Posted: December 25, 2024well i am just a anxious person myself but i never experienced being robbed/harassed my someone on the streets. of course its better not to explore unpopular streets and areas in the dark, i dont feel safe there, but crowded streets and lighted roads are fine! lets not forget about war, but here in Lviv we don't get much of missile hits. anyways its better to go a shelter. in general i'd say Lviv is actually the safest city in Ukraine
Posted: December 25, 2024Lviv is pretty safe for women since it’s also a touristic city, cozy and safe. The vibe is coffe, books and vine, live music on a street, so usually it’s pretty safe to walk around even alone. Now we have a curfew from 12pm due to the war, so after that time you should be at home if you’re not in some closed bar (I haven’t been to those, so can’t say on safety)
Posted: December 24, 2024It really depends in the district- some have higher crime rates. But overral feel safe walking home after 22 pm, plus we keep the lights on during late hours, which helps to feel safer. We do have curfew during war, which limits night activities.
