Itās really safe overall the only time I feel unsafe is in Khao San road but itās because people are gripping you from everywhere. I went to multiple places i come back home most of the drunk and nothing happened
Posted: September 30, 2025I've walked solo and taken public transportation and taxi's solo all around Chiang Mai, sometimes as late (or early) as 4am. I have never once felt in danger in this city. The absolute worst I've experienced is some base level catcalling like "you're pretty" in a very crowded area.
Posted: September 4, 2025Itās a bustling city full of activity, yet if you look closely, thereās a surprising amount of peace. Most people go about their own lives, keeping to themselves and rarely noticing what others are doing.
Posted: August 28, 2025A big city yes. But safe compared to western counterparts, for sure! Bustling and lots going on but really itās mostly tourist and locals trying to make their way. Of course be careful and witty but if you are westerner you will for sure be confident
Posted: August 28, 2025Bangkok is a pretty safe place for living, especially when you choose silom or thong lo areas to live. But I donāt recommend going to the poor locals areas at night, because it may be dangerous especially for the foreigner women.

I mainly went to Krabi for the food and water activities, I went on island hopping tour and kayaking where you could just easily go to the booths nearby and book it for the next day, very convenient. They do have many other options as well so you can just pick an activity that suits you. I went to the AoNang nightmarket buy this time not many stores were opened (not sure if it was because it was off season) but still the food was great. I stayed at Ao Nang Viva Resort, and the location is good as it was walking distance to the nightmarket and to the beach.
