Riyadh is generally very safe for women even late at night. You do not need to worry about crime or harrassment in public places. You might experience some staring which can be uncomfortable. Tip for safety: Video recording any potential incidents will protect you and deter any perpetrators. (Example: in taxi/Uber) Least safe areas: areas neer Alnadeem and Albat’ha.
Posted: August 18, 2025It’s a safe city Women walk alone, and they’re left alone. Crime rate is low. Taking an Uber ride or an evening stroll isn’t something to worry about. People are mostly to themselves unless approached for help.

Saudis ethics and morality is based on both culture and religion. Women are generally respected, and are often provided with support by acquaintances and strangers alike. If within family neighborhoods, women are safe to walk at night or live alone.

I’ve never ever once in my life felt even a tiny teeny bit worried about my safety here even though I go out alone all the time and sometimes even after dark. Just don’t go to sketchy places those basically are “working-sites-building-material-stores” There I’ve experienced harassment but not physical only staring.

Its safe, the government here are very strict on anything that is illegal and women became the most priority. Everywhere you go you will find people standing with you against anything will happen, cameras are everywhere too
