Riyadh is extremely safe in general. Of course catcalling and verbal harassment can sometimes occur but nothing major. Even walking alone at night as a woman won't be an issue. Robbery or crime is almost nonexistent
Posted: November 17, 2024I live all of my life in Riyadh. I born and raised in this beautiful city , its safe place with a-lot of activities and things to do. Yes its traffic and busy city, but i assure you, once you came you will have much fun!
Posted: September 2, 2024I’ve been living in Saudi Arabia and I never felt unsafe here, Alhamdulillah, women are able to hunger out in the evening and at Midnight. It's very comfortable to stay here for living and working. Thanks..
Posted: August 10, 2024Riyadh is extremely safe. As a local, my only concern is verbal harassment, which is mostly from locals targeted towards local. This also primarily occurs only in certain areas that some young locals deem as dating hotspots. However, risk of physical harassment is very low. Even lower are things like assault, rape, mugging, kidnapping, murder. Saudi Arabia is a considerably safe country to be in. I would only advise foreign female travelers to avoid going out alone at night and avoid dodgy areas only as a precaution.
Posted: June 19, 2024The city is very safe People are so nice helpful and welcoming You can leave your phone computer or even your wallet on a table anywhere to go to the bathroom or anywhere and come back and find all your stuff as you left them
Posted: March 29, 2024This country is very safe especially for foreigners they are very welcome here by locales especially for women there is no danger of sexual assault But you have to adhere to local clothing traditions so you won’t attract the attention of creeps
Posted: March 29, 2024Saudi Arabia specially major cities are pretty safe for female solo travelers, crime rate is pretty low. However catcalling in pretty common specially in male dominated areas such as malls, concerts etc.. Downtown of riyadh is pretty safe to walk in alone, you might get a little bit of unwanted stares, dressing modest is highly recommend (not necessarily abaya and hijab, a long dress or baggy pants would be more than enough) English is pretty common so you will not find any difficulty communicating with locals

I did a 4 day stopover in Jeddah and I had a blast. The old town was gorgeous. People were mostly active at night and it was just such a different experience. Very few tourists and I felt safe as a solo female traveler.
Posted: April 7, 2024Wish I could share the pictures of my time in KSA, but they are on my previous phone which I do not have on me. With that being said — smooth entry. People were nice and welcoming. Stayed with a young lady that I met on HelloTalk and her family. It was an enjoyable experience as I was able to walk away with many sisters. I plan on returning which should say enough about my time in KSA. Def recommend!
