How safe is Riyadh governorate?

Fairly safe, however theft and harassment do happen. I had my phone stolen the first time I came to Saudi. I have been harassed by male taxi drivers. There are female drivers available on some apps but at a higher rate and as there are fewer female drivers available they require a longer wait time, so I advise leaving plenty of time to plan trips. In public places and central areas I’ve experienced very little harassment, however I wouldn’t recommend walking around suburban areas late at night.

Riyadh is one of the safest cities ever, the police and public cameras are everywhere and the city doesn't really sleep so usually you won't find yourself alone in the streets. Make sure to wear modest clothes though (just to avoid anyone's looking at you or something), jeans and t-shirts will do the job for you! (Just avoid skirts and shorts). If you wanna integrate with the locals you can just get a stylish Abaya!

It’s literally safe My work schedule typically runs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and after work, I enjoy meeting up with friends for dinner and coffee, often staying out until around 2 a.m. on Wednesday nights. I feel completely safe doing so, as the community is incredibly welcoming, and the local transportation options, including Uber, are reliable and secure

Riyadh is relatively safe but as a woman you have to be careful of the places and events you go to, try to go to family friendly places so you can avoid some of the harassment, not a lot to do here other than shopping and going to seasonal events and trendy cafes

Is Riyadh governorate worth visiting?

Solo travel

Lots of things to do if you research what’s on, People are generally nice. It helps to learn some basic Arabic to make it easier to get around as English is not widely spoken. Wearing an abaya is not necessary, any fairly modest clothing is fine. Really expensive, especially for accommodation.
