Riyadh is extremely safe in general. Of course catcalling and verbal harassment can sometimes occur but nothing major. Even walking alone at night as a woman won't be an issue. Robbery or crime is almost nonexistent
Posted: November 17, 2024I live all of my life in Riyadh. I born and raised in this beautiful city , its safe place with a-lot of activities and things to do. Yes its traffic and busy city, but i assure you, once you came you will have much fun!
Posted: September 2, 2024Riyadh is extremely safe. As a local, my only concern is verbal harassment, which is mostly from locals targeted towards local. This also primarily occurs only in certain areas that some young locals deem as dating hotspots. However, risk of physical harassment is very low. Even lower are things like assault, rape, mugging, kidnapping, murder. Saudi Arabia is a considerably safe country to be in. I would only advise foreign female travelers to avoid going out alone at night and avoid dodgy areas only as a precaution.
